Warranty tracking in Smart Receipts

Turn a receipt into a warranty record. Note what is covered and when the cover ends, and the app shows a green, orange, or red status so you know at a glance whether a claim is still possible.

What it is

Warranty Tracking toggle

Account Setup has a Warranty Tracking switch that keeps the expiry and coverage fields available on the expense form. It is on by default for the Personal profile.

Item name and expiry

On any expense, switch on Track warranty, enter what is covered, and set the expiration date.

Colour-coded status

The expense shows "Expires on" in green, "Expiring Soon" in orange when seven days or fewer remain, and "Expires Today" or "Expired on" in red.

The receipt is the proof

The receipt image stays attached to the expense, so the proof of purchase is right there when you need to claim.

Where it shows up

  • The Warranty section of the expense form.
  • The expense detail, where the status line shows how long the cover has left.
  • Search: find the receipt later by merchant or amount when you need to make a claim.

Good to know

Tip: Add the warranty the moment you scan the receipt for an appliance, phone, or tool. Extended warranties bought separately can be recorded on the same expense by setting the later expiry date.

When you delete it: Turning Warranty Tracking off in Account Setup hides the fields for new expenses. Expenses that already have a warranty keep showing it.
